The high price of Photovoltaic (PV) system equipment with low system efficiency are still consider main challenges of using photovoltaic system. When the output power increased in the areas where the partial shading occurs regularly, the acceptability of using the PV system will be raised. In this paper, a hybrid algorithm is implemented to extract the highest possible power under partial shading for the PV system. The particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm is implemented to locate the global maximum power area whereas the incremental conductance using variable step size (INC_VSS) is implemented to converge to the maximum power point. The proposed method is applied using Arduino UNO board. The experiential results showed that the proposed method increases the output power 5% as compared to the conventional method. © 2022, International Organization on 'Technical and Physical Problems of Engineering'.
