A Scientific Symposium Titled (The Role of Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance in Solving Students' Problems)

Al-Hussein University College Holds a Scientific Symposium Titled (The Role of Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance in Solving Students' Problems) As part of the activities for the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Week and in accordance with the directives of the esteemed Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to implement the National Strategy for Basic Education and Higher Education for 2024, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Department, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Department at Al-Hussein University College, organized a scientific symposium titled (The Role of Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance in Solving Students' Problems ) on Sunday, November 24, 2024, under the patronage of the Dean of Al-Hussein University College, Professor Dr. Saleh Al-Qurqawi.

The symposium, moderated by Professor Dr. Sabah Al-Jabri and presented by Dr. Amer Al-Haidari, a consultant in psychiatry and a faculty member at the College of Medicine, University of Kerbala, aimed to define the concept of counseling, its key characteristics, and the distinction between counseling and guidance. It also highlighted its role in fostering appropriate behavior among students and addressed the general objectives of psychological counseling.

The event witnessed significant engagement from the attending students, as the discussions sparked their enthusiasm and prompted deeper inquiries into the topic, enriching the scientific and educational process.
