The First Poetry Forum at Al-Hussein University College (Creativity and Brilliance)

According to the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to support cultural and artistic student activities, and under the patronage of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Saleh Mahdi Al-Qaraawi, the first poetry forum for students of universities and colleges in the Al-Furat Al-Awsat region was held on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 10:00 AM in the seminar hall. The event was attended by Mr. Anwar Al-Yasari, a member of the Karbala Provincial Council, and supervised by a judging panel that included renowned Iraqi poets: Yahya Al-Allaq, Ali Al-Mansouri, and Ahmed Al-Murshidi. The forum's program was masterfully managed by poet Tamam Kamel. Several poems were recited by competing students, impressing the large audience, which included guests, faculty, staff, and students. The judging panel announced the top three winners, whose performances stood out. Notably, the event also featured recitations by prominent poets, adding enthusiasm and further enriching the beautiful poetic imagery that highlighted the creativity and brilliance of the participating student poets. At the conclusion of the forum, the winners were honored with awards and certificates of appreciation by the Dean of Al-Hussein University College.
