As part of Al-Hussain University College’s efforts to keep pace with modern scientific advancements, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence, the college took the initiative to hold the First Scientific Forum on Artificial Intelligence Applications today, Saturday, April 26, 2025, with the participation of several public universities from Baghdad and the Middle Euphrates region.
The forum witnessed broad official and academic attendance, alongside active participation from students of scientific departments and postgraduate students, as well as the college’s faculty members.
The opening session began with a speech delivered by Professor Dr. Sabah Al-Jabri, who welcomed the attendees on behalf of the Dean of the College. He highlighted the importance of organizing such scientific forums and the pioneering role of the college in promoting purposeful academic activities. Dr. Al-Jabri also reviewed the efforts to establish new scientific departments that contribute to meeting the needs of the local labor market.
The forum's agenda included five scientific lectures presented by postgraduate and undergraduate students, during which they showcased their research projects related to the latest developments in AI applications. A scientific evaluation committee assessed these projects, providing academic feedback and developmental recommendations to the students.
At the conclusion of the forum’s activities, distinguished guests, keynote speakers, and participating students were honored. Attendees praised the college’s efforts in organizing the forum and the quality of the contributions presented. They affirmed that this forum has opened broad avenues for scientific collaboration between public universities and Al-Hussain University College, enhancing the path of scientific research and supporting future development goals.
