Under the generous patronage of the Dean of Al-Hussain University College, Professor Dr. Saleh Mahdi Maarij Al-Quraawi, the Department of Electrical Engineering Technologies at the college organized an extensive scientific symposium entitled:
"Electrical Engineering and Its Role in the Development of Modern Societies"
This symposium was part of a series of scientific activities that the department is keen to organize, aiming to enhance the role of higher education in keeping pace with technological advancements and directing scientific research to serve society.
The session was chaired by Professor Dr. Sabah Al-Jaberi, who opened the symposium with a welcoming speech emphasizing the importance of electrical engineering as one of the pillars of sustainable development, noting the rapid developments in this vital field.
Dr. Mohammed Redha Saeed served as the session's rapporteur, managing the discussion points and organizing the questions and interventions raised by the attendees.
The keynote lecture was delivered by Professor Dr. Rasheed Al-Rubaie, who presented a comprehensive scientific talk highlighting the latest innovations and modern technologies in the fields of renewable energy, smart systems, and the digital transformation of electrical infrastructure. He also shed light on the role of electrical engineers in addressing environmental, economic, and social challenges in contemporary societies.
The symposium witnessed remarkable attendance from the college’s professors and students, along with a number of guests from academic and engineering institutions, who participated in enriching scientific discussions and exchanging ideas and expertise.
At the conclusion of the symposium, the attendees expressed their gratitude to the college administration and the organizers, commending the efforts made to enhance scientific and academic communication among various engineering disciplines and to serve societal and developmental issues.
