Professor Dr. Saleh Mahdi Maarij Al-Quraawi, Dean of Al-Hussain University College, participated in the Higher Education Platform in Iraq (HEPIQ) Conference, which was held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Al-Mustaqbal University in Babil Governorate. The event was attended by a select group of academic leaders and several presidents of public and private universities and colleges.
Dr. Al-Quraawi’s participation came as part of the college’s commitment to keeping pace with technological advancements and exploring ways to apply them in the field of higher education. The conference discussed the general structure of the Higher Education Platform, the services it provides, the challenges facing its implementation, and ways to develop it through pilot testing of various applications such as the Student Information System (SIS), the Human Resources System (HR), and the electronic student ID.
The Deputy Minister for Scientific Research Affairs, Professor Dr. Haider Abdul Dhahad, presented an overview of the Higher Education Platform in Iraq and the services it offers to all ministry affiliates, including students, faculty members, and staff. He emphasized that the platform represents a significant milestone in Iraq’s digital transformation and plays a vital role in elevating the status of Iraqi universities globally.
Additionally, Dr. Amir Mousa from the Ministry’s Information Technology Department presented the platform’s structure and the programs and services it provides.
University presidents and deans of both public and private colleges praised the exceptional efforts made by the Ministry, represented by the dedication and follow-up of the Minister, the Deputy Minister for Scientific Affairs, and the IT Department, in completing all application programs within the specified timeframe and in coordination with the implementing company.
