Launch of the Medical Devices Training Course at Al-Hussain University College

The activities of the medical devices training course for students of Al-Hussain University College have commenced. The course aims to enhance students’ skills and link theoretical knowledge with practical application in the field of medical devices technology.

The course was inaugurated with a motivational speech delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Miri, Head of the Medical Instrumentation Techniques Engineering Department at the college, in which he emphasized the importance of seizing this opportunity to develop students’ skills and encourage creativity and innovation.

Following this, Engineer Alaa Abbas, head of the institution sponsoring the course, presented an introductory talk outlining the institution’s objectives and its future vision for supporting technical education and developing students’ skills in engineering fields.

The training program was divided into two parts. In the first part, Lecturer Mustafa Adel, the department’s rapporteur, delivered a specialized lecture on electronic circuits and their importance in medical devices.

In the second part, students were introduced to the basics of Arduino and its practical applications through a lecture by Engineer Amir Kamal. A simplified introduction was also given on artificial intelligence technologies and how to develop AI models and use them in modern medical fields.

This course comes as part of a series of scientific activities that the college is keen to organize to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to keep pace with rapid developments in medical engineering.
